九头蛇夫人孤儿出身，右脸天生有疤痕，早期是一名雇佣兵，曾经从剑齿虎手下救过金刚狼，并与之发生了一段感情。被九头蛇招募之后成为九头蛇夫人，在上级被美国队长俘获之后，成为九头蛇的领袖，获取了上古神器蛇冠打算征服世界，但被美国队长击败。
后来九头蛇夫人出走，有一次在弗吉尼亚杀死一个被关押的罪犯蝰蛇，夺得他的头衔和制服，并且控制了他的组织毒蛇党，招募了一帮跟蛇有关的反派人物，《金刚狼2》中的银武士是她的保镖。还在金刚狼的帮助下夺去了马德里坡岛（Madripoor）的控制权，成为犯罪的领地，以蝰蛇的身份搞破坏，与九头蛇组织互惠互利。后来她还加入过地狱火俱乐部（《X战警：第一战》里那个组织）。
