Thanks to our friends at Gentle Giant, we are proud to share a Toyark Exclusive reveal of their next exclusive. At San Diego Comic-Con 2016, Star Wars fans will have a chance to purchase the Star Wars – Ralph McQuarrie Concept Chewbacca Mini-Bust! Not only are we revealing the official images and details for this new bust, but we’re also debuting a full Toyark Gallery of the bust, as Gentle Giant sent one along for us to check out.
Fans of Star Wars Rebels may recognize the creature as well. Star Wars Rebels features numerous designs and nods taken from unused Ralph McQuarrie illustrations, sketches and vehicle designs. The original design for Chewbacca was refined and became the character of Zeb! It shows you how, after nearly 40 years, Ralph McQuarrie is still influencing Star Wars today.

Based on original pre-production illustrations for Star Wars: A New Hope, this Gentle Giant mini bust takes a fascinating look at McQuarrie’s conceptual development for one of science fiction’s most beloved characters. We are proud to add Ralph McQuarrie’s original concept of Chewbacca to our long running line of mini-busts and collectibles.
