戚继光（1528年11月12日－1588年1月5日），汉族，中国明朝抗倭名将，杰出的军事家、民族英雄。
戚继光在东南沿海抗击倭寇十余年，扫平了多年为虐沿海的倭患，确保了沿海人民的生命财产安全；
后又在北方抗击蒙古部族内犯十余年，保卫了北部疆域的安全，促进了蒙汉民族的和平发展，是中华民族千古不朽的英雄豪杰！

Qi Jiguang (November 12, 1528 - January 5, 1588,Han nationality) was a famous illustrious general of Ming dynasty. He was a great strategist and national hero.
Qi Jiguang fought against Japanese pirates in China’s southeast coast for several years. He protected people’s lives and properties successfully. 
It took him more than ten years to resist against the Mongolian tribes and protect the security of the northern border. 
Qi Jiguang contributed to the establishment of a friendly relationship between Mongolian and Han. He is a true immortal national hero.
