埃德蒙顿甲龙Edmontonia rugosidens

Edmontonia is a genus of panoplosaurin nodosaurid dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous Period of what is now western North America. It is named after the Edmonton Formation (now the Horseshoe Canyon Formation in Canada), the unit of rocks where it was first found.

锐龙Dacentrurus armatus

Dacentrurus (meaning "tail full of points") is an extinct genus of stegosaurian dinosaur from the Late Jurassic and perhaps Early Cretaceous (154–140 million years ago) of Europe. Its type species, D. armatus, was named in 1875 as Omosaurus armatus, based on a skeleton found in a clay pit in the Kimmeridge Clay in Swindon, England. In 1902 the genus was renamed Dacentrurus because the name Omosaurus had already been used for a phytosaur in 1856. After 1875, half a dozen other species would be named but perhaps only Dacentrurus armatus is valid. Dacentrurus is among the largest known stegosaurs, measuring around 8–9 metres (26–30 ft) long and weighing up to 5–7.4 metric tons (5.5–8.2 short tons). Finds of this animal have been limited, so much of its appearance is uncertain.

开角龙Chasmosaurus russelli

Chasmosaurus (/ˌkæzmoʊˈsɔːrəs/ KAZ-moh-SOR-əs) is a genus of ceratopsid dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous Period in North America. Its given name means 'opening lizard', referring to the large openings (fenestrae) in its frill (Greek chasma, meaning 'opening', 'hollow', or 'gulf'; and sauros, meaning 'lizard'). With a length of 4.3–4.8 metres (14.1–15.7 ft) and a weight of 1.5–2 tonnes (1.7–2.2 short tons)—or anywhere from 2,200 to nearly 5,000 lbs—Chasmosaurus was of a slightly smaller to "average" size, especially when compared to larger ceratopsids (such as Triceratops, which were about the size of an African bush elephant). It was initially to be called Protorosaurus, but this name had been previously published for another animal.

符栉龙Tlatolophus galorum

Tlatolophus (meaning "word crest") is a genus of hadrosaurid dinosaur belonging to the tribe Parasaurolophini that lived during the Campanian stage of the Late Cretaceous in what is now Mexico. The only species is the type species, Tlatolophus galorum.

埃德蒙顿龙Edmontosaurus regalis

Edmontosaurus regalis is a species of comb-crested hadrosaurid dinosaur. Fossils of E. regalis have been found in rocks of western North America that date from the late Campanian age of the Cretaceous Period 73 million years ago, but it may have possibly lived into the early Maastrichtian. E. regalis was one of the largest hadrosaurids, measuring up to 12 metres (39 ft) long and weighing around 4.0 metric tons (4.4 short tons). It is classified as a genus of saurolophine (or hadrosaurine) hadrosaurid, a member of the group of hadrosaurids that lacked large, hollow crests, and instead had smaller, solid crests or fleshy combs. The distribution of E. regalis fossils suggests that it preferred coasts and coastal plains. It was a herbivore that could move on both two legs and four.

包头龙Euoplocephalus tutus

Euoplocephalus (/juːˌɒploʊˈsɛfələs/ yoo-OP-loh-SEF-ə-ləs) is a genus of large herbivorous ankylosaurid dinosaurs, living during the Late Cretaceous of Canada. It has only one named species, Euoplocephalus tutus. Euoplocephalus reached 5.3 metres (17 ft) in length and 2 metric tons (2.2 short tons) in body mass. Its body was low-slung and very flat and wide, standing on four sturdy legs. Its head had a short drooping snout with a horny beak to bite off plants that were digested in the large gut. Like other ankylosaurids, Euoplocephalus was largely covered by bony armor plates, among them rows of large high-ridged oval scutes. The neck was protected by two bone rings. It could also actively defend itself against predators like Albertosaurus, Daspletosaurus, and Gorgosaurus.

迷惑龙Apatosaurus louisae

Apatosaurus (/əˌpætəˈsɔːrəs/; meaning "deceptive lizard") is a genus of herbivorous sauropod dinosaur that lived in North America during the Late Jurassic period. Othniel Charles Marsh described and named the first-known species, Apatosaurus ajax, in 1877, and a second species, Apatosaurus louisae, was discovered and named by William H. Holland in 1916. Apatosaurus lived about 152 to 151 million years ago (mya), during the late Kimmeridgian to early Tithonian age, and are now known from fossils in the Morrison Formation of modern-day Colorado, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Utah in the United States. Apatosaurus had an average length of 21–23 m (69–75 ft), and an average mass of 16.4–22.4 t (16.1–22.0 long tons; 18.1–24.7 short tons).

栉龙Saurolophus osborni

Saurolophus (/sɔːˈrɒləfəs/; meaning "lizard crest") is a genus of large hadrosaurid dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period of North America and Asia, in what is now the Horseshoe Canyon and Nemegt formations respectively (about 70 to 66 million years ago). It is one of the few dinosaur genera known from multiple continents. The type species, S. osborni, was described by Barnum Brown in 1912 from Canadian fossils. A second valid species, S. angustirostris, is represented by numerous specimens from Mongolia, and was described by Anatoly Konstantinovich Rozhdestvensky. Saurolophus is distinguished by a spike-like crest which projects up and back from the skull. It was a herbivorous dinosaur which could move either bipedally or quadrupedally.

慈母龙Maiasaura peeblesorum

Maiasaura (from Greek: μαῖα,[a] lit. 'good mother' and Greek: σαύρα, the feminine form of saurus, lit. 'reptile') is a large herbivorous saurolophine hadrosaurid ("duck-billed") dinosaur genus that lived in the area currently covered by the state of Montana and the Canadian province of Alberta, in the Upper Cretaceous (mid to late Campanian), from 86.3 to 70.6 million years ago. Maiasaura is the state fossil of Montana. The first remains of Maiasaura were discovered in the Two Medicine Formation near Choteau, Montana in 1978 by Bynum, Montana resident Laurie Trexler. This holotype specimen was later described by Horner and Makela in 1979 as the new genus and species Maiasaura peeblesorum. The given genus name refers to the finding of eggs, embryos, and juveniles in a nest.
